Robyn's Background

I am a Masters’ level Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with experience in private practice and with open/closed support groups, working with adolescents, adults, couples and families. After completing my undergraduate degree at Lafayette College, I completed my post-graduate work while raising my three daughters. I bring a unique perspective and approach to life and therapy, which is a combination of unconditional positive regard, respect, transparency and optimism.

While I am not the therapist who will tell you what you think you want to hear, I certainly endeavor to both meet, and accept, you for who and where you are each time we meet. Throughout our time together, we identify, develop and pursue your therapeutic goals.

My Approach

My eclectic approach to therapy combines person-centered, solution-focused and family systems theories. I’m known for my unique brand of analogies and metaphors to help create a ‘visual’ with which clients connect - I find this method assists both with client’s uniquely individual endeavors as well as to identify common themes/patterns in which clients often don’t realize they are engaging.
